2012 State Conference

The Nationals WA welcomes members to the 2012 State Conference and Convention being held at the picturesque Sandalford Winery situated in the heart of the Swan Valley, Perth.

The Nationals WA are entering into an important election campaign where maintaining the balance of power will ensure the future of the most important regional development program in Australia’s history, Royalties for Regions.

Held over the 17th and 18th of August, the Conference will allow you to enjoy a range of social activities and take part in what could be the largest Conference in the Party’s history.

We encourage you to be a part of strengthening our Party and ensuring that regional WA has a voice at the decision making table.

Location

All Conference events will take place in the Swan Valley, a 20 minute drive from the Perth CBD and just a 10 minute drive from Perth Domestic Airport. Famous for its quality produce, the Swan Valley boasts breathtaking views and scenery and some of Australia’s finest wineries, chocolate and cheese producers. FRIDAY

The Nationals WA Golf Classic – Play a round of nine at the world class The Vines Golf Course, lunch and cart hire included.

Swan Valley Wine Tour – Visit WA’s finest wineries with the friendly folks at Swan Valley Wine Tours.

President’s Sundowner – Enjoy two hours of WA wines and canapés at the Presidents Sundowner.

SATURDAY

Young Nationals Breakfast – The Young Nationals hosts Conference guests in the Oak Room at Sandalford Winery prior to the official Conference proceedings for a filling cooked breakfast. Keynote speaker, Executive Chairman of Cape Lambert Resources Mr Tony Sage, will be our keynote speaker at the breakfast.

Conference – The formalities of Conference begin in the Underground Cellar at Sandalford Wineries.

Leaders Dinner – following Conference, the Leader’s Black Tie Dinner will commence in the Underground Cellar. Enjoy a three course meal and dance the night away with Murphy’s Lore.

Transport and Accommodation

Getting to and from the Swan Valley is easy…

There is a regular and affordable bus service by Transperth to and from the Guilford Train Station to Sandalford Winery (a short walk up the driveway) and to The Vines Resort. Visit transperth.com.au for more information.

A Taxi Service operates dropping off to all metropolitan areas.

The Nationals WA will provide a bus service for Conference guests. This service is covered by the cost of your registration and will collect guests for the President’s Sundowner and the Leader’s Dinner. You may wish to consider the following hotels that will act as the pickup and drop off points when choosing your accommodation.
