Member for Central Wheatbelt Mia Davies MLA has congratulated the organisers and artists who participated in the 2022 Kondinin Art Prize saying it had become one of the highlights on the calendar of events in the electorate.
She said the Kondinin Artists’ Group were a dedicated group of volunteers who continued to increase the profile of the arts in the district and were to be commended for the Show.
“I have attended a number of their Show’s over the years, and every time the calibre and depth of the art improves,” Ms Davies said.
“I am always pleased to sponsor art in our community and support the volunteers who work so hard to bring these events together.”
Speaking at the event, Ms Davies said the arts and artists challenged us to see the world through a different lens, sparking curiosity and documenting what many of us take for granted.
“Artists add beauty, they challenge us, they spark conversation and debate, it so important to encourage and support their work.”

• Shire of Kondinin Acquisition Art Prize Len Zuks, ‘The Dancer’
